I endured a scary scary angiogram yesterday - medical procedures and me do not seem to mix very well! I did not respond to the local anaesthetic used to numb the area around the femoral artery so the angiogram had to be carried out regardless. It was extremely painful and one feels disorientated as the x-ray cameras swoop around taking pictures whilst one is holding one's breath. I ended up uncontrollably shaking - the staff were excellent and soon put me to rights. The good news is that a change of pills will probably sort me out.
Today I am very sore and cannot sit down - lying down and standing are fine! No driving or excessive exercise for a week so I have the perfect excuse to goggle watch The Open and The Ashes for the next couple of days - the trouble is I am spoilt for choice - which one should I watch?

Glad you are getting to the root of the problem & so sorry that you had to suffer like you did. Can you sleep on your tummy or wouldn't that help?
You are clever typing standing!
As for sport, I am not the least into either and feel that I am not able to advise. Follow your heart or keep switching channels.
Not too bad then. Hurrah!
It sounded to be a bit of an ordeal but what a relief for you. Hope you are soon able to put your feet up and chill for a day or two.
Hope you are feeling better soon Lindsay. A x
Sorry the procedure was painful. Gosh you were brave to go through it! Well OK you probably had no choice but still...... and it's good news that a change of pills will fix it!!
If you want a pleasant, relaxing & stress-free time, watch anything except the cricket!
Oh Lindsay! Hope you feel better soon. I'd go for the cricket!
P.S. An award for you over at mine.
Sounds gruesome - but glad it can all be put right with only a change of pills. Like most things medical it's the recovering from the procedure that's a pain! Chin up and channel-flick to your heart’s content!
That sounds nasty, so sorry that you had a painful time of it.. Good news that a change of pills is the answer though :)
Hope that you will soon be feeling better. It's good that the problem has been sorted out.
Poor you not being able to sit! Glad that things are moving in the right direction... full of admiration for typing standing up... XX
(word ver. is suffa! Oh dear. )
Hope you are feeling heaps better. Medical investigative procedure are seldom nice.
Where things are at now I recommend you watch the second Ashes Test. This Kiwi is delighted with England's walloping of the Aussies.
Healing care and gentle huggles,
Michelle, xxx, Zebbycat snoring away......teehee.
Mickle - have been watching the destruction of the Aussies - very satisfying!
Thanks all for your comments
Sorry the anaesthetic didn't work. Having an angiogram (and even an angioplasty) with the anaesthetic working can be fun - so long as people don't keep getting in the way of your view of the screen. (How dare they. It's your angiogram you should at least be able to see it) But it must have been horrible being in pain while it was done. Glad it's over and that all you need is new pills.
Sorry to hear you're having troubles and hope you get plenty of rest x
That sounded awful but I'm glad that they are getting to the root of the problem and that it can be treated.
Enjoy the break (and the cricket :-D)

Poor you. Sounds horrid. But I'm glad an easy answer is in sight.
Enjoy the rest!
