Husband's family used to own a seaside flat at Aldeburgh where he had happy childhood memories. We decided to visit. After a meander through The Chilterns we arrived at Aldeburgh where we met up with some old friends who live in Colchester. We walked along the sea front and came across the flat - it looked sad and forlorn and needed a bit of renovation. Our spirits were soon revived with very good fresh fish and chips on the verandah at the nearby Brudenel Hotel. The weather was kind enough for us to sit outside and breathe in the sea air. We continued our journey visiting Snape Maltings and Orford Castle before returning to our friends' house in Colchester where we spent a happy evening.
