Husband is off on one of his long walks for a couple of days. Swirling fog here this morning - hope he does not take a wrong turn and drop silently into the canal he is supposedly walking beside!
I do not mind a couple of days on my own - I have the radio tuned to Radio 2 on loud (normally I wear wireless headphones around the house - Husband's ears are sensitive and only tolerate Classic FM), I go to bed at the time I like, I get to read the newspaper first, and I have been known to eat out of the saucepans (naughty naughty).

Sounds like you are having a great 'Holiday' from the norm of everyday life.
I too enjoy a day off and can do my own thing!

Sounds like a nice bit of 'me' time. And less washing up:-)
Good for you! Do what you like for a change. Enjoy it!
Walking *for a couple of days*! How far can you get in that time? Is he with a group?
Whatever, I am sure he won't fall into a canal!
It's lovely when they go away isn't it!! I love watching what I want on TV and being able to spread out in the middle of the bed......but it's always nice when they come back again.
Enjoy your 'you' time :-)

MM - Husband walks alone! The only time he walked with a group is when he climbed Snowdon. He has travelled most of the long distance paths, his favourite being The West Highland Way which took him 8 days. This time he is walking The Kennet & Avon Canal staying in pubs along the way.
Sounds perfect! Funny how we can't be ourselves when they are around.
Enjoy!
Just popped back to read the other's comments, I was just going and I noticed the verification letters spelt...dumpop.
Just tickled me, no offence to your other half.

Hello Lindsay
Like all the others I really enjoy time on my own - to doo just as you described.
Me time is just that - being able to do just what 'me' wants to do
Hope the man gets home all in one piece
Take care
Cathy
Woohoo! I like being home alone so I can turn the music up and eat what and when I want.
