No More Coo Coo Lovey Dovey

(We hope). Oh no, I know what you are thinking. You are thinking we shot the amorous pigeons that insisted on flapping around our satellite dish arm and trying to nest. I must admit I thought about it. Instead the local handyman shinned up a ladder of tremendous height and affixed sharp spikes around the dish. So unless the pigeons decide to wear socks and wellies they will find their amorous advances will have to be accomplished in mid-air or else flap off to someone else's satellite dish. Perhaps they like the programmes?

Hello Lindsay
Apart from the noise and the mess what other damage do they do?
Interfere with the signal?
Take care

Don't blame you Lindsay - we have a similar problem here with seagulls on the roof. Son came and put some sort of deterrent up there last year and, so far so good! A

Poor thwarted love birdies - you'll have to put up a dovecot now!

Spikes on your satellite dish - are the spikes through a black leather collar?

Do you now have a Goth/Punk satellite dish? Any effect on the programs you can receive?

The spikes seem to be working - no more playful pigeons. Mickle - I like the idea of a punk satellite dish!

Today we noticed a nearish neighbour was having a satellite dish installed - perhaps just in time to rekindle the love life of these two birds.
