A Fanfare of Fieldfares

A flock of Redwings and Fieldfares have been swooping about recently over the field behind our house. I managed to creep up on these birds when they were having a rest in the ash tree!

I have never heard of a fieldfare, it looks a bit like a skinny thrush! If we've had them around I can imagine I would have said "best get some fat balls out, it looks like the birds are struggling!"

Well done in photographing these beautiful thrushes. We had large flocks earlier on in the winter but I haven't seen them in large numbers for a couple of weeks now.

Great mental picture of you sneaking up on the fieldfares!! Brill pic. I saw a gorgeous male bullfinch at my sister's today - such a lovely coral pink chest.

What a neat picture. I've never heard of a fieldfare but they sure pose prettily for a picture!

We are in the city so don't get field fares but I have got quite excited about my robin & sparrow who visit a little pot high on a wall that I throw seed into. They seem to have struck up a friendship.

Nuts in May

A tree without snow is a real treat to see right now, we have so much snow here.
I popped over from Maggie's blog when I read you had neuropathy. I too suffer from it in my lower legs and feet....not fun.
Have a great day....:-) Hugs
