It has been in the news recently that the height of happiness in one's life is reached at the age of 74. Husband is aged 73. Husband is a quiet man, a very quiet man.
We enjoy, on a regular basis, "afternoon tea" with some old friends of ours. We visited them yesterday and had a jolly good "grumpy" afternoon. We have good fun putting the world to rights - I don't know who is the grumpiest. If you get Husband on to the subjects of global warming, green energy such as wind farms and space exploration he blows a fuse! But as Husband says one can be happy being grumpy!

I quite agree Lindsay - no good getting older if you can't get grumpier! I had a grumpy telephone call with my cousin the other evening and we both felt beter. Ha ha.
I think that men are happy to be grumpy.
I can remember being fairly happy in my forties...... that isn't what was supposed to happen according to the graph.

I think it is a 'man' thing mostly. My Other Half, Keith absolutely loved shouting at the television but apparently, I have to be there as an audience. It's no fun doing it if he's on his own. ;)
I enjoy putting the world to rights also,
