A Good Sign

Husband has opened up and cleaned the greenhouse. Our neighbour helped him wire up the electric panel to facilitate the use of his propagator, frost-stat and heater. Here he is sewing geranium and cabbage seeds. This year we should get a better start in the veg garden because of the greenhouse (this was not installed until late April last year). My use of words is often not very good and I almost wrote "Here he is sewing his seed" !!!!

I'm finding my thoughts turning to what to grow this year too. I'm not very green-fingered but I'd like to try something other than just beans, courgettes and tomatoes this year.

I'm thinking about trying sweetcorn and pumpkins this year as well!

Ha! Husband might have not been too pleased at that headline:-)

Like Aoj, I want to try something different this year but not quite sure what to go for.

One advantage of having no greenhouse is I have a longer winter break! (That's me trying to find the positive in things...)

Might he have been needled at the 'sewing' bit?

I like that! The 'sewing his seed' bit.

How very well organised - the actual 'sewing of the seed...'

Looks like he's enjoying himself anyway Lindsay. We have a potting shed at the bottom of the garden - may have a go at something when it is a bit warmer!

Nice to see your hubby! One of the things I love most about your blog is all the pictures ....such a breath of fresh air for this city girl! Do you know if cyclamens come back to life after being frost-bitten, by the way? Mine are v droopy in my window boxes (my attempt at gardening). xx
