Minus 6C This Morning

It is turning into a lovely day here in North Wilts with clear blue skies which will lift the spirits! At our previous house we owned a small paddock which was originally a quarry - meteorologically (long word!) speaking it was a "frost hollow" and the lowest temperature I ever recorded was Minus 12C.

Not sure we got that low but it was certainly freezing and for most of the day today too. I do feel sorry for the birds.

Oooo, brrr. Confess has been 27c over Sunday - and that was in the shade. Monday I return to WEllington with its much more sensible temps - 22/23 max mostly in Summer.

Keep war and cosy, care and huggles from NZ xxx.

We were minus 6C at the farm on Saturday too. Some of my family were leaving and when they reached Hatherleigh two miles down the road it was minus 8C! But I'm not complaining - I love it like this - and no rain, a miracle I hope will last.

All the best to you in 2009 Lindsay.
