Hopeless Britain - No Power!

Happy Christmas everyone! The power went off at 8am today - our house runs absolutely entirely on electricity and we have no fireplace! The temperature outside was just above freezing. We unwrapped our presents and look what I received from my step-daughter a really lovely scarf and gloves - how very timely!!
Meanwhile Husband looks entirely deranged!!!

Oh No! Well as you've posted an entry I'm hoping the electricity has come back on and you are cosy and warm again now??! My house runs on electricity too (well oil fired boiler but electric pump), though I do have a calor gas heater and gas hob if things get desperate. But it is SO miserable being cold. Hope you have a happy christmas!

I see husband has a source of internal warmth to hand...oh what a rotten thing to happen!
I sometimes wonder if there isn't something to be said for their claims of superior intelligence.
Your supplier isn't EDF by any chance?

I really hope it didn't go on too long and that you were able to have a Happy Christmas.

*****! I hope it came on quickly , before your fingers inside those fetching gloves turned blue to match . I see husband is a practical chap and could find the First Aid supplies .
Hope it's all returned to normal and the rest of the holiday is warm and cosy.

And who can blame him?! Hope you're restored now. Or at very least that you have enough sherry to keep you going!

Oh noear, not a good start to the day. Meanwhile I was cooking Christmas dinner in my Folks' kitchen in an uncharming 32C.

If only we could have swapped temperature conditions for an hour or two!

that is awful.......I hope you had a lovely Christmas regardless though?

I am mentioning you in my post on the 31st (tomorrow), as I am doing a second post on saving money, I did a link back to your blog as well.

I am very proud of how much you have saved using that savings method. You should blog about it as its a super simple way of savings. Maybe we can get everyone to do it!!
