Snow Yomping

We had over 6 inches of snow fall last night - the countryside looked absolutely lovely covered in virgin white. I love snow and find it very invigorating providing there is no pressing reason to drive the car. I continued tramping around the fields behind our house on my quest for good snow pictures to be used in future christmas cards, I think I have enough now for many years to come! Our local farmer attached a snow plough to his tractor and cleared the village and it's outskirts. The schools were closed and it was great to see the children actually being children, snowballing and sledging. Snowmen have not changed their appearance since I was young!

Think we must all be children at heart Lindsay, when it comes to snow. We see it so rarely, make the most of it. Pleased that the children have the opportunity this year when there is so much gloomy news about. It does look beautiful and what a pleasure to see so many snowmen. Some are very fashion conscious as well! A

I love that photo. You've had a lot more snow than us but even so it is so nice to play out in it with the camera.

I love the snow too Lindsay, as you say just as long as you don't have to drive in it. It looks so beautiful and this is another great photo. We've had a bit of snow but nothing like this and it's almost gone now. 14 degrees F. here in Northern Virginia this morning. But I am an early bird and it is only 4.56 a.m. so there is hope yet. I'm hoping it's going to warm up a bit later on.
