Curing Bad Habits?

I am sure everyone gets niggled by perceived annoying habits in others.

Some time ago Husband used to come home from work , take off his suit, arrange it nicely on a coat hanger and then proceed to hook the coat hanger over the door of my wardrobe. Why on earth did he not hang it over his wardrobe door? Who knows? I used to come upstairs to bed and find I had to remove the offending article to Husband's wardrobe door before I could sort my clothes out for the morning. I got sick of repeatedly asking him nicely to keep his clothes to himself!

I had an idea. I came up to bed and as usual found the suit glaring at me hanging on my wardrobe door. I rootled around in the cupboard and found about six unused and unloved crumpled up wire coat hangers. These were thrust down Husband's bed. He was surprised. I only had to repeat the exercise four times before the offending suit retreated to Husband's wardrobe door never to reappear on my side.

Husband has been retired now for a few years and no longer owns a suit!

Not sure if this type of hint would have worked for my husband. Has to be something much more obvious like a huge note pinned to the suit! Even that might not be enough at first!

Strange how other people have all these irritating habits. I for one am perfect! LOL

Unfortunately I think my husband would sleep on the coat hangers and not even notice:-)

Hee hee, that's very funny. I would never have thought of doing that!

I think that like Lane's husband mine would also sleep on the hangers without noticing them. I think that I could put up with him hanging his suit on my wardrobe door if he would stop snoring. Perhap if he slept on a coat hanger...

Her Indoors hangs all her clothes on the knobs of my drawers thus preventing me from accessing my socks and smalls. I'm well trained enough to quietly move the offending articles to her knobs without so much as a raised eyebrow.
So there, ladies ........... with bras knobs on!

Pip Pip!

I have a Maggie May type of husband too.
We have a fridge full of freezing moths, hoverflies, bugs and, well, anything and everything (as well as the clothe thing). I've thought of stuffing his samples into his breakfast but...
He thinks I'm a most unreasonable wife.

Great minds think alike.....I got tired of my husbands dirty socks lying all over and extremely mad at all of his used toothpicks.......sooooo I combined the two and washed them together and folded them as usual and put them in his sock drawer. I only had to do it twice. Training a man isn't an easy task.

Jamie - you are a lucky boy having so many knobs?

That did make me laugh Lindsay. My OH also seems to have selective hearing - I must try something similar! A
