I spyed this bird hovering around our bird table and looking hungry, but for some reason he was shy and did not want his photo taken. Any good ideas for a caption for this photo? After a little while . . . . . . . . .

He might have thought you were the pheasant plucker:-)
Gosh, you are getting some good photos at the moment!
I think you are doing very well with captions AND photos & don't really need any suggestions!
Well he could be looking out for his mate to come and join in the food on offer, or perhaps he's just a stuck-up nobody and has no time for these damn humans with a gadget stuck to their eye.
Excellent photos by the way!

I found your link on the lovely Lane's blog *waves Hi to Lane* so I thought I would pop over and have a nosey!!
I think I've found a kindred spirit!! I loved sunsets, patterns (can bore people for hours with the pictures I have) and we've just moved to Wiltshire from Thailand :-)
I will definately be back

Oh your pics and mine are so alike at times!! Do you look at the RSPB Moments page?
Twiglet - thanks for the RSPB reference.
Thanks all for your comments - the pleasant pheasant has been back to the feeder several times.
Great photos and captions Lindsay. We saw some peacocks yesterday but we were on private land so we didn't dare whip our cameras out!
What a handsome specimen!
A pleasant pheasant! Good capture!
We went to stay with my brother-in-law in the countryside one time. We found a shot gun in the bedroom under the bed. My 8 year old said "I think Uncle Brian uses it to shoot the peasants." "I think you mean pheasants darling" I replied. "No" said my hubby "I think he was right the first time!"
Bit of a Victor Meldrew is Uncle Brian.
Love the blog.
Lindsay, you have such a brilliant eye for capturing the moment. zi sooo enjoy your blog.
Huggles from the final days of summer.
I think he thought the first pose would make a better 'tale'.
I haven't seen a pheasant in years, beautiful shots...
