Which One Should It Be?

The only safe place to walk for me with crutches was through the back gate of our garden on to the field behind. These photos are views towards the north at the far end of the field.

I am hoping that one of these photos will be OK to use as this year's Christmas card. Perhaps they are a bit dark?

Take a vote!

No 3. full of mystery and atmosphere. Well taken!

Tough choice but I think #3. It really does capture that odd light you get when it snows and the clouds are so low. Also like the gate as a focal point.

I'm with the others Lindsay, no. 3 - though any would be lovely. I think it's the gate that does it. A

I'd go for number 2 with number 3 as a second choice.

I like number 2 too...

Third one - and who said Christmas cards couldn't be a bit gloomy? A little gloom and mystery never hurt anyone and that's a cracking pic.

Is this just me or is that a sheep lying on its back balancing a teatray on its feet in the second pic? Look hard enough and you'll see it.

Number 2, no doubt about it. Better contrasts.

I'd go with the third one. The composition is great.

There are ways of enhancing your photo. I worked for years as an animator in London and got to grips with Adobe Photoshop. I'd be happy to improve the contrast and lighting for free. Just email me if you are interested. It wouldn't take long and it would be a pleasure.

All are great, however no. 3 stands out with the contrasting in shade as well as the falling snow.

Thanks for comments. I think I am favouring photo No.2.
Malc - looked closely - local farmer loves her sheep they were all safely tucked up! The tin sheep is a buckled left-over trough.
CottageSmallholder - thanks for your offer, might take you up on it if I cannot improve them myself with limited software!

Love your snowstorm pics. Think I would choose No 2.

Hi Lindsay, am I allowed to say I prefer your pic from 9th Jan? Or even the lovely, ahem, big balls on the pic from 6th Jan? You could put sprigs of holly on those and make them into lovely Christmas puddings for the card! Gorgeous pics as ever xx
