It Is Hell Being a Virgin (Customer)!!!

I have not been receiving broadband since Tuesday. After 8 telephone calls and 8 different advisors we at last established (which I knew all along) there is a fault on the local rural exchange that requires BT to correct it. However no green light appears on my router so we ring up again and again. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was refused!!! I have not been impolite to the Virgin call centre so Husband and I are now getting angry. BT are not providing a service to Virgin and Virgin is not providing a service to me so for the time being we are stuck. My neighbours kindly let me use their computer but I do not like to outstay my welcome!

I am sorry to hear that.
I hate to tempt providence, but we are very satisfied with ours.
I think it is a very different thing living in the country & receiving Broadband compared to living in a city.
Lets hope something can be done very soon to help you get back on line.

Maggie - you are right - in a rural location Broadband is difficult. Perhaps you have never had a fault! Our village is negotiating with a wireless company providing boradband via a mast. I shall definitely be subscribing if this happens. At the moment I am receiving wireless connection via my neighbour who is an IT whizz kid! He had a go at Virgin on my behalf and became thoroughly frustrated with their lack of expertise in the call centre.

I so agree!! After a million complaints, I finally got my box changed and everything was miles better. The engineer confided I was lucky, as I was getting a new box as he just happened to have one in, otherwise people get second hand ones!! Grrr Virgin!
