Weather forecast is good for all this week for the tennis - I shall dig an imaginary moat around our house to repel visitors whilst the green lawns of Wimbledon are on the screen. Husband draws deep sighs of boredom. I was even horrible enough to prevent son (many many moons ago) from watching the children's slot on the Box during tennis. He was delighted when it was raining and he got a look-in at "The Magic Roundabout" etc.

I will hopefully get some pictures from Wimbledon this week. Not of the players, but of the crowds that line the streets in their tents. It's quite a sight!
Looking forward to it and just hope there's no 'R' in the corner of the screen:-) Fingers crossed!
I still miss Dan Maskell though:-)
I think John McEnroe is the best commentator - so informative. We will see how Timn Henman turns out.
Nice to see you on my blog! Not often I get a 'new' visitor. That very odd head thing in the picture (I get the feeling if I read back through your blogs all will be revealed) - it's just what I need for this weekend's scarecrow trail in our village. Do they sell them in Tesco?!
Kittyb - the head thing is called "Fred the Head" and his/her appearance is changed every day - it belongs to an eccentric neighbour and I am the eccentric person who photographs them each day. They make quite good cards!
Yes I'm looking forward to hearing tim H as well!
Typical of my sister! She bullied me, she bullied her own son, clearly pays scant attention to her poor long-suffering husband and looks piratically at anyone who has the temerity to knock on her door! Watch out all who cross her over the next 2 weeks! She threw me into a large patch of stinging nettles in my deprived youth!
As for Mr Hewitt, he's not very popular over here in Oz - I have it on good authority (someone who was a member of the same tennis club in Adelaide) that, as a youth, he was a spoiled, temper-tantruming brat with dreadfully overbearing parents - and it still shows. But, at least he's a recognisable character unlike all those eastern-europeans whose names all end in -ic or -ova. They're so boring they make me feel ic all ova!
